Methodics exhibited again at this year's DATE tradeshow in Dresden.
If you have been to DATE you will know that, in contrast to DAC in the USA, the focus is much more on the seminar sessions than on activities at the stands. The show was well attended. The exhibits on the floor were quiet when the sessions where in attendance but it was very busy in the coffee breaks, when the attendees wandered around to get a taste of the latest developments and offerings from the exhibitors. Our VersIC and ProjectIC demos generated a lot of interest. These breaks also gave us a chance to catch up with our many European customers.
The DATE party was in a VW assembly plant called Gläserne Manufaktur. You might be sceptical about the wisdom of holding a huge event with over a thousand people in a car factory, but it was a superb venue.
The whole building has many glass exterior and interior walls, so it is visually interesting from all angles. The hand assembly of Phaetons and Bentleys takes place here on a floor of Canadian maple. Everything oozes luxury. The attendees had the opportunity - besides networking and excellent food and drink - to have a guided tour of the facility.
We look forward to the next DATE event in 2015 in Grenoble, France.
